Angel Kids Pediatrics FAQs

Are you available after normal business hours?

Yes. Angel Kids Pediatrics offers extended hours at select locations to better serve busy families. Evening and weekend appointments are available for your convenience, and we always have a provider on call after hours for urgent medical concerns. If your child needs care outside of regular office hours, please call (904) 224-KIDS (5437) and our answering service will connect you with a member of our medical team.

No hablo inglés.

I do not speak English. What other languages does your care team speak?

We’re proud to serve one of the most diverse communities in Northeast Florida. Our care team includes bilingual providers and staff fluent in Spanish and other languages. Interpreter services are also available to make sure every family feels comfortable and fully understood during their visit

Can I bring all my children to appointments at the same time?

We understand that coordinating multiple appointments can be challenging for families. We do not allow for siblings to be scheduled for well visits together. They each have to have their own appointment and sometimes they can be back-to-back but not always. If they are sick with same or similar symptoms they can be scheduled together at the same time.

Can I meet my pediatrician before my newborn arrives?

Absolutely! We encourage expectant parents to schedule a prenatal meet-and-greet with one of our pediatricians. It’s a great way to get to know your care team, ask questions about what to expect after delivery, and feel confident in your child’s medical home from day one.

What ages do you see at Angel Kids Pediatrics?

We care for children from birth through young adulthood. Our team provides comprehensive care for newborns, infants, children, teens, and young adults up to age 18—including preventive care, school and sports physicals, immunizations, and developmental screenings.

What insurance plans do you accept?

Angel Kids Pediatrics accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicaid and many managed-care programs. If you would like to verify ahead of time, please call our main number, (904) 224-KIDS (5437) and select option 5 for Billing.

What should I bring to my child’s first appointment?

Please bring your child’s insurance card, photo ID, immunization record, and any medical history or medication list. If your child is transferring from another provider, bring previous records if available. Arriving 15 minutes early helps us complete paperwork and start your visit on time.

Do you offer telehealth or virtual visits?

Yes. For your convenience, we offer telehealth visits for certain follow-ups and minor illnesses. Telehealth allows you to connect with a provider from home using your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Ask our scheduling team if your child’s visit qualifies for telehealth.

Do you offer behavioral or developmental services?

Yes. Angel Kids Pediatrics & Behavioral Health provides a full range of behavioral and developmental services, including ADHD management, autism evaluations, gifted and learning-disability testing, and counseling support. Our specialists work closely with families and schools to help every child thrive.

What hospitals are your pediatricians affiliated with?

Our physicians are affiliated with leading hospitals in Northeast Florida, including Wolfson Children’s Hospital and Baptist Medical Center. This means your child will receive coordinated, continuous care from the same trusted team even if hospitalization is needed.

How can I request medication refills or forms for school/daycare?

For prescription refills or forms (such as school physicals, sports clearances, or medication authorizations), please contact your office directly or submit a request through our patient portal. Most requests are processed within 48–72 hours.

How do I access the patient portal?

You can access our secure patient portal from any device to view visit summaries, immunizations, lab results, communicate with your provider, and more. New users can request portal access during check-in or by calling the office. It’s the easiest way to manage your child’s care online.

What if my child needs vaccines for school or travel?

We provide all required school immunizations and many optional vaccines, including travel vaccines. Our team follows CDC and AAP guidelines to keep your child’s immunizations current and can provide updated shot records for school or daycare upon request.
