Angel Kids Pediatrics Selected by CMS as a TCPI Exemplary Practice

Jacksonville, FL, February 4, 2019 Angel Kids Pediatrics, Jacksonville, FL was recognized and honored by CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) at the 2019 CMS Quality Conference: Innovating for Value and Results held in Baltimore MD from Jan 29-31.

This prestigious and highly competitive national recognition and award was presented to Angel Kids Pediatrics as a TCPI Exemplary Practice that demonstrates high performance in key performance areas: Person and Family Engagement, Population Health Management, Improved Chronic Illness, and Reduction in Unnecessary Emergency Department Use.

TCPI awards represent Transforming Clinical Practice Initiatives and are part of a strategy by CMS to strengthen the quality of patient care and spend health care dollars more wisely. Angel Kids Pediatrics was selected as one (1) of among fifty-five (55) other elite high-performance Medical Practices, Medical Centers, and Clinics across the nation, that were recognized and awarded in 10 Key Performance Areas. Angel Kids Pediatrics received national recognition in the Key Performance Area of Exemplary Practice Performance specifically related to Person and Family Engagement.

Dr. Ashraf Affan, President & Founder, Dr. Jami Webster, Medical Director, Casey Jenkins, Director of Quality Improvement, and a pediatric patient and his mother were invited and recognized by CMS during the awards.
